Homestead Rodeo Association and students in the Homestead area want to offer a huge THANK YOU to Councilman
Stephen Shelly of Homestead, Florida for his sponsorship this 2015-2016 school year towards the Books & Broncs Literacy Project. Thanks to Councilman Shelly's support, first grade students at West Homestead Elementary School, Campbell Drive K-8, Leisure City K-8, Redondo Elementary School, and Laura Saunders Elementary School are able to participate in this literacy project. They will have horses visit their schools for their first meeting & first reading of the book called "Let's Rodeo!" in which each first grade student will be able to bring it home. In addition, some students will have a field trip to the Homestead Rodeo Arena for a full day of horse related activities including reading their favorite page from the Let's Rodeo! book to a horse. Memories those lucky first graders will NEVER forget!
